Jason Hancock

Jason Hancock is primarily a visual artist.  (See his OPP Artist's page Here.)

He says about his art:  "My art is my solace, therapy, and love that makes me feel whole when life itself can be so fractured. As these characteristics come together my hope is sharing something sublime."

small birds/autumn leaves.
landed/fallen.
peck bits/last bit; color.
noise scatter/breeze shake.
stay winter?/return spring?

December 9th, 2013 3:21 p.m.

not a breeze.
in winter, wind?
snow fall-curly q’s down.
resting even before landed.
rested even before fall.
so quiet.

December 30th, 2013 4:22 p.m.

where.
whence.
ether.
alone?
compounded: glimpse to thought -
thought out idea.
continuous...

January 4th 2014 6:35 p.m.}

struggle: on & on.
others?
often.
alone?
easily increase.
then an other eases pain.
a touch.
not always/ often enough.

January 5th, 2014 3:45 p.m.

thoughts: fast-slows.
too slow?
quieted.
subtlety breathed.
subtle breath where:
        thinking stills to remarkable.

January 10th, 2014 6:38 p.m.

what to do?
headed where?
who’s this this?
within wherefore exactly?
who’s asking?
some paid by policy, some not.

January 19th, 2014 5:41 p.m.

candles, buddhas, incense, skulls.
an origami lily.
flicker: faces, faces, folds.
heady air.
question/contemplate.
don’t ask.

February 5th, 2014 4:07 p.m.

so long numb: survive.
recovery grieving.
pain(life) under another pain;
didn’t allow full scope.
but, I’m bawling now.

February 8th, 2014 1:40 p.m.

9 candles.
white to clear flames, white light.
close eyes-white upon lids, upon face.
a clear light for clarity.

February 11th, 2014 3:00 p.m.

Charles Mingus: record album onto ipod,
blast on pod’s speakers only:
sounds of my grampa’s big bands
a.m. transistor.

February 13th, 2014 10:54 a.m.

chores done-down to work.
creation: impending necessity.
flow on whatever/whatnot.
decipher, amend-addendum.

February 28th, 2014 2:17 p.m.

easier if: from nowhere, magic, a one point.
except…seasons: not begun/ not ending/
ever-abiding.
seamless: cycle into one another.
dependent.
finite equates aggression.
