 English / Filipino poems

little by little
slicing through the fog
morning light

*
unti-unting
humihiwa sa hamog
ang liwanag ng umaga

wild flower
the wind
in her hair

*
ligaw na bulaklak
ang hangin
sa kanyang buhok

dark skies
even the road puddle
has a rainbow

*
madilim na kalangitan
maging ang lubak sa kalsada
may bahaghari

sunny morning
the smell of dried fish
on mother's dress

*
maaraw na umaga
ang amoy ng tuyong isda
sa damit ni nanay

.

yellow bell
shaking
bee butt

*
dilaw na kampanilya
umaalog
puwit ng bubuyog

jeepney ride
the driver touches
the hanging rosary

*
sakay ng dyip
hinawakan ng tsuper
ang nakasabit na rosaryo
