I Declare

I shall be remaining
‘ Authentic’
… and, am prepared
to suffer
the full consequences
of my actions.

Up Out Of The Catacombs

Down into another ‘Rabbit Hole’
to the very same Experience…
isn’t Adventure,
it’s Redundant and Futile.
I cockerel fresh mornings,
since slipping the Chains
of Toxic Repetition…
in a New part of the Map
I discovered outside of Addiction.

No Diversion

Each time that life declares
“Breakdown, right here.”
and you reply,
coolly and calmly
“No, I will not.”
You earn something,
it’s invisible,
yet, your soul can taste it.

Use times of adversity
to keen the razors-edge
of your determined mind
… forge your intuition,
instincts and reactions
... stronger within
the flames of animosity.

Any fool can lash-out angry
… find your ‘fight’
and learn to control it…
that’s where your power is
… there is nothing to fear
so long as you are standing
upon solid ground
within your unbreakable self.

.

.

Simplicity

Contentment is
laying in an unkempt bed,
and both of you are aware
that the other one is smiling,
even though no words
have left your ‘loved-up’ lips
for quite some time.
And you want
to tell her this, in one big gush,
but instead, decide
to say it a little later.
